Chacha- the new search engine!

The title of the post is ” A place for lonely searchers”… Made me smile… Then laught..

The new search engine called ChaCha

Here in the philippines, chaca is a coined word which came from CHarter Change. Its a hot issue here in the country right now.

Well, going back on the search engine chacha… i tried it out and here’s what happened…

I typed TEST as my search topic. and then I clicked SEARCH WHITH A GUIDE.

When the page opened, i noticed a chat window on the left side of the screen. And my attention was focused there.

SandraL: Welcome to ChaCha!
SandraL: hi
You: Hi sandral
SandraL: Please be more specific as to what you’re looking for on this topic.
You: actually im just testing out chacha..
SandraL: oh, ok
You: im creating a post in my blog about it
SandraL: any questions

At this point i noticed that it didn’t show any result for my search.

You: weird, didnt give me any reults
SandraL: you wanted results onwhat topic
You: i wrote “test” on the search line
You: but didnt showed any
You: i mean even just general results
SandraL: you wrote test
You: yup
SandraL: there you go
You: and nothing appeared, i mean no results found
SandraL: there you go
SandraL: there is a result
SandraL: we usually try to clarify what the infoseeker is requesting

Then i saw one result = Drug Test. Meaning they have access to the screen/page that I was in.

SandraL: are you there
You: wow
You: great
You: you have access to the screen
SandraL: yes
SandraL: Is there anything else on this topic I can find for you today?
You: i think that will be all

Then i remembered to ask one more question:

You: wait

You: do you talk to only one person or do you have other “customers” as well?

This means that they don’t know the time zone of the person that they are talking to… It was 2:15pm. Then she asked me to rate her..

I tried searching for the same topic on the same page… Here is what happened:
