Problem with Auction.ph

I’m sure some of you guys had / are having this problem too.

Its with Auction.ph. I created an account because my friend told me that they had a promo. They were griving Free 30.00 globe load if you are able to get referrals – let your friends create an account too. But, you can only get 30.00 each for the first 20 referrals. That’s good enough. So i blogged about it here > Free P30.00 globe load.

I was able to successfully register last March 9. Below is the email confirmatin that they sent me:

Two days have passed, and i still was not able to get any free load. While a friend got his only after a day. Then On March 12, another friend whom i’ve invited to join, told me that i ahve been banned. She sent me this:

“I am afraid that you will not be able verify your mobile number in our system or get your prepaid credits from your registration as of the moment as your referrer’s (Migs) registered mobile number has been banned due to possible false information he has registered in his account.”

I tried signing in at auction.ph with my log-in details without any luck.

So i sent an email (march 12) to helpdesk@auction.ph to inquire about this problem. After 2 days (March14), i got a response:

We acknowledge your concern.

Your account is temporarily suspended. If you have joined the Barkada Text promo, the possible causes are: creating multiple accounts or invalid accounts for the purpose of generating mobile credits. If you did not do any of this, one of your referrals may have created an invalid account or fictitious account. If your referral gets suspended, you will be affected as well.

Ok.. i didn’t make multiple or any fictitious accounts. Now, how would i know if someone that used me as referrer did any of this? I asked them that on my reply. I also asked them how will i be able to solve my problem.. Their reply was:

We understand and acknowledge your concern.

What we could do is to forward your email to our Admin for them to further evaluate your situation.

Please provide us the information below for verification.

Registered email address:

I replied right away and gave them the information that they needed.

Yesterday, March 28, I made a follow-up, still thru email. coz i don’t know their landline number. They were quick to respond:

Hi,

Thank your for your inquiry.

We were able to forward your concern to our Admin and they have required for you to provide us the following information and include at least (1) scanned ID for verification and security purposes:

Registered Name:
Registered Address:
Registered Contact Number:
Registered Birthday:

Your feedback will be appreciated.

Why do i have to go through all these? All i wanted was to earn the free load and use the service. I even promoted their site and service here in my blog.. and this is what i’ll get in return?

Oh well… i’ll just register a new account. use a new email address and cp number. then forward the load to my globe number.

I had a chat with Mr. Ofiaza, the Marketing Head of Auction.ph. I gave him a link to this post and here is his response:

Mr_ofiaza: as in daming complaints……
Mr_ofiaza: pero were doing all efforts anamn to improve our services….
Mr_ofiaza: also sa mga promos namin….

And he said he’ll have my account checked. At last.. after more than a year.
