Sony 32G microvault thumb drive – it works.. but.. (part 1)

I blogged about the 32G thumb drive / flash drive a couple of days ago.

I got it last night!

I was excited.. but not that excited! heheheh.. I’ve already searched the web for this product. I saw a Blog which said that this product is a fake and that it was not a 32G thumb drive. I was hoping that what i’ll be getting is a different one from that.

But i guess, they all came from one source.

I plugged it in.. my windows XP computer was able to detect it like an ordinary thumb drive.

I copied one 3gp file from my computer = OK. Then i copied 2 folders containing severals 3gp files each = OK. I even browsed the contents of the folders.

Then i placed some more files and folders (word, excel, power point files) = OK.

Then.. i tried browsing the first two folders that i pasted = OH NO!

The Chinese people invaded my thumb drive! hahahha.. Now this is what i read in the blog:

I start copying data and tried reading them. Error ! I shifted my thumbdrive to the back of the CPU thinking that my front USB was not compatible. God DAMM error again ! I tried it on someone elses PC, thinking my windows could not detect a 32Gb thumbdrive. Shieeeett !

When i checked the properties of the thumb drive, it was able to show the total capacity of all the files.

But when i highlighted all the files in the thumb drive and checked its properties.. it showed me that the files were eating 780Gigs of space on the supposedly 32gigs thumb drive!
