The hevenly taste of Mam Bebs’ pastries

A blogger friend, brader Andrew, promised to bring some “cookies” from his aunt’s Mom’s newly opened bakeshop – Mam Bebs bakeshop and refreshment parlor (formerly known as La Suerte Bakeshop) – yesterday during one of our get together.

But, he didn’t bring the cookies! hmpf!

Instead… he brought this one…

I was all smiles after seeing the box.. brader drew said it had some pastries inside. I waited to get home to open it.

When i did get home, i asked my 2 house mates to gather around and enjoy the view.. hahhahaha.

I opened the box and as the famous reporter Gus Abelgas would say ” eto ang TUMAMBAD sa aming harapan”

In less than 2 minutes, everything inside this beautiful box was gone!

The mini ensaymadas (i think that’s what it is) [update: its called potato rolls] was soft, with cheese inside and had the right amount of butter to add to the taste. After eating 4 shares i said ” its so sweet!” I think Mam Bebs should lessen the sugar coating. But believe you me, It tastes good!

Next thing i tried was the banana cake bar [update: they sell banana cakes]. Unlike the usual banana cakes bar in other bake shops, this one is fluffy yet packed (i hope you get what i mean). The smell is like its making you want to eat the whole slice at once (well of course you need to peel the paper first before eating it). Inside your mouth, you’ll feel the soft and the creamy touch on your tongue. And then you’ll just be surprised that you’ve already eaten the whole thing and wanting for more!

Last i ate was the cinnamon Apple pie.. Cinnamon is one of my favorites.. [update: now i know its apple pie.. but it tastes like cinnamon.. oh well.. its still delicious] I smelled it after opening the box and so i said i’ll be saving the best for last.. And it didn’t fail me! It was like eating a soft cookie with a tasty, creamy, delicious filling inside! It had the right sweetness and the right amount of flavor!

With the external presentation, this would be a lovely gift for friends or loved ones. Actually, my 2 house mates will be bringing some to Manila during their vacation. And for sure i’ll be bringing some too.

I’ll also be giving a box of Mam Bebs to my friends who will be coming here in Davao during the Kadayawan Festivities like Christian Bautista and to the road manager of some PBB2 house mates (i don’t know which house mates she’s handling). Don’t get me wrong.. I’m not boasting that they are my friends.. my point here is that this product is so good, that these guys will surely like them. Gets?

If your visiting Davao, try some…

Mam Bebs bakeshop and Refreshment parlor is located at:

1/F CVA Bldg., CM Rector St. Davao City.
227.81.31

“I think we’ve got a case of a little coal here that is gona turn into a diamond” - That’s Amanda’s comment to Paul Potts during his first audition for Britain’s got Talent.. And Paul Potts did win. And i think this will also be the case for Mam Bebs.

Notes:

Sorry if there are many words which i have stricken out.. i was a bit confused. =p

pasensya na din sa wrong spelling… hahahhaha
