My comment on this.. well its a big thing to forget your national anthem. The Spring Roll blog dubs it as “The unpardonable crime”. This will be a big negative publicity for his upcoming concert on October 6 at the Cuneta Astrodome.
He’s a big star – Asia’s Pop Idol as he is called. He’s known in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand. His songs are even being played in Hongkong and Vietnam. doing something like this would really put you on the front page of the news.
Christian Bautista’s yahoo group is still silent about it. There were only 4 posts on the forum of his official blog christianbautistaonline.com.
Ian apologized to all the Filipinos:
“I apologize to the Filipino people for the unforgivable lapse of memory that occurred yesterday during my rendition of the national anthem. I was recovering from a cold and the adrenalin and excitement of the moment got me through it. Unfortunately, it was the cost of a momentary lapse on my part.”

the christian bautista rendition. for sure malupet ang pag kakanta.. i can just imagine yung hiyawan ng tao pagkatapos.. and then this issue will end.
Now that will be ONE of the things to expect in his concert.
