Inside the Mindanao Bloggers Party

2007 October 29

Blogie and I arrived at Casa Habana past 6:00pm.When we got there, we saw that the food was already served. BANG! I saw the “Blogie Rage”. Blogie got mad coz the food was served early – the party was due to begin by 9:00pm – 3 hours to go. And also, it seemed that the food won’t be able to feed 50 people.

The “Blogie Rage” went on for about 20 minutes. After filling up his lungs with intoxicating smoke, he was back to the old blogie! hahhaha.

I had to pick up some more food from one of our generous sponsors, Swiss Deli (They’ll have a website soon).

Bloggers started to arrive.

They said they were hungry (or maybe it was my tummy which said that.. hahahha). So we all ate at Pinutos.. just in front of Casa Habana. (Pic below from ria visit her blog for more pics)

I had dinuguan! I’ve been wanting have that since i saw it in a tv ad. I just don’t know why they have to put hard boiled egg on every meal. The Dinner was also sponsored by MBS. (good for those who came in early)

After our hearty meal, we went back inside Casa Habana. We waited for the others to arrive.

We’ve just finished eating, then you see food  on the table. so what do you do?  Well… Take pictures!

Charles and Jenny.. making use of their cam.. hahahha

I took some pics too..

While still waiting  for the others to arrive, Jayvee gave out some forms for those interested to join the Blog Bank which he introduced during the summit. Here are some bloggers doing the “BLOG COMPACT

The party started a little past 9:00 pm.

Blogie invited someone to keep us entertained – it was Abet, a well known comedian here in Davao who has regular shows in Studio One (is it one or oni?) and has out of town gigs too. Also gracing the party was the owner of Swiss Deli who gave us a beautiful song number.

Since Abet started the show, we never stopped laughing. I could see even our non-pinoy friends laughing their heart out.

Jayvee sang and Charles too (I forgot the titles). I’ll check if someone uploaded the video.

The crowd went wild with Mikko (the youngest blogger who attended and a representative of General Santos City) and Aethan. When Abet asked for “rubber” i saw Mikko jump out of his seat headed towards his bag at the other side of the room. I said “ohhhhhhhhhhh A 16 year old with a “rubber”". Turns out that the rubber was indeed a rubber – band. Lets not put bad stuff in young people’s mind (hmm.. was i the one who asked you to grab a bottle of bear? hahahhaha).

I guess Aethan was the one who really enjoyed that night! Hmm.. lets see if he’ll post what happened in his blog!

I called it a night a bit past 12 mn. Blogie was still holding the mic trying to top Abet. I guess he needs more training! He was already drunk. He said stuffs like “repent now for the end is near”, “Ako ang sugo!” and “Walang Himala!”.

Now i know the “Drunk blogie”

I heard the young bloggers (yah yah we’re not that young anymore) still went to Fwendz Diner to hang out.

Speaking of party.. I heard some rumors that there will be another party in December…

Watch out for that!

More pics on my multiply page!

As far as I can remember, we have discussed “rubbers” on our first year English under euphemism. Nireject na ata yun ng mind ko, ambait ko talaga. Hahaha.
