Moslemen T. Macarambon Sr. – New Comelec Commissioner

A new COMELEC Commissioner has been appointed.

Moslemen T. Macarambon Sr.

A former RTC Judge in Iligan City who is been serving the Judiciary for over 30years.

Sen. Lacson said that he has knowledge (i don’t know if he has evidence) that Mr. Macarambon is connected to Garci. We’ll, i think anyone from Mindanao can be labeled as a Graci ally.

His son, Moslemen Macarambon Jr. (”Jun”) is a blog friend of mine and is one of the Usual Suspects. Since yesterday, Jun has been busy with his blog, trying to give out information about his dad and also making the public aware that his dad is not in any way connected to Garci.

NO! Renault or Lou is different. My dad is not in the hello garci tape. I hope this clarify. Thanks for asking.

I guess any person appointed to this position would get a high level of scrutiny. Some groups are also questioning why his appointment did not go through a transparent process. Now, this is something that i have to agree with.

But is this Mr. Macarambon’s fault? That he was appointed using a process not agreed by many?

As Jun said in his blog, the news about his dad being appointed as commissioner “has been buzzing since January of this year”.

He’s appoinment was been in buzzing since January this year. But his appointment was delayed because of the upcoming National Election last May. I believe it was delayed because the time of his appointment to avoid election issues like what the Manila Star reported – Militant groups warn of new appointments to Comelec.

So my question is, what did those groups do from January until yesterday? Did they do some background research on the guy? Or I guess they were just waiting for the official announcement and then they’ll throw out all baseless (based on the news, they don’t have concrete evidence) allegations that they can imagine.

Does she and her group knows that he is the fiercest and the most feared Judge in Lanao Province because of his integrity and his case decision is not for sale. He also garnered some awards like one of the Most Outstanding Judges in Philippines. I bet NOT she doesn’t know about this!

And you see, what’s funny about this is that even the media was trying to know who Mr. Macarambon is. If he’s a “dirty” man, I’m sure his info will be all over the news.

I suggest that we give Mr. Macarambon the chance to prove himself, that indeed he is fitted for the position. All eyes is now on him, plus there is a high level of vigilance in our country. I’m sure any wrong deed will be noticed.

Who knows, he might be an agent of a Peaceful, Orderly, and honest elections.
