Off-line Blogging tool
For blogging addicts out there, here is a tool that you can use so that you can still blog “off-line”.
Use Windows live writer.

I first blogged about this tool back in August last year. It was still in beta then. But now.. its out. Its now called Windows Live Writer 2008.
Windows Live Writer is a desktop application that makes it easier to compose compelling blog posts using Windows Live Spaces or your current blog service.
Main Features:
WYSIWYG Authoring
The first thing to notice about Writer is that it enables true WYSIWYG blog authoring. You can now author your post and know exactly what it will look like before you publish it.
Photo Publishing
Writer makes inserting, customizing, and uploading photos to your blog a snap. You can insert a photo into your post by browsing image thumbnails through the “Insert Picture” dialog or by copying and pasting from a web page.
Map Publishing
Whether you are blogging about a vacation or a political conflict, maps are a great help in engaging the imagination of your readers. You can do this using Writer’s ability to insert a Windows Live Local map directly into a post.
Use all your blog accounts.
It also has plugins to add more features and functionality in the program.
Windows Live Writer is currently compatible with:
- Windows Live Spaces
- Blogger
- LiveJournal
- TypePad
- WordPress
- All blogs that support RSD (Really Simple Discoverability)
- MetaWeblog API
- Moveable Type API
- Community Server
- PBlogs.gr
- JournalHome
Download it HERE.

There is also a Windows Live writer portable.

Actually, i’m using Word 2007 when I blog offline. there’s this nifty New Document option where you can create a Blog Post instead of an ordinary Word DOcument. You can select categories and stuff. And when you’re done, just Publish it.
Neil,
That’s nice!
you don’t have to install another program!
I hope you can compare the two and blog about it. Thanks.
Good. I will try that

There’s a browser for the blogger named Flock which you can directly login to your blogs through this browser. Its a variation of the Mozilla Firefox browser.
