Globe stops all day UNLITXT

I read in some forums that Globe has ended (again) its unlitext promo.

So I called Globe’s Customer Service The unlimited texting all day and night time promo ended last December 14. But Globe extended the unlimited day time (8:00am to 4:59pm) and sulitxt (100 txt messages globe to globe) promos until January 14 next year.

To further explain, globe has the following texting promos:

• UNLITXT – Regular all day unlimited texting
• UNLITXTD* – Unlimited DayShift Texting from 8:00AM to 4:59PM
• UNLITXTN* – Unlimited Nightshift Texting from 10:00PM to 7:59AM
• TXTPLUS – Unlimited GHP-GHP texting + P0.75/text to other networks
• TXTPLUSCL* - Unlimited GHP-GHP Daytime Texting from 8:00AM to 4:59pm + Two 3-minute calls

So the ULITXT promo has ceased to exist since December 14. The customer service representative said that the duration of the promo (which Globe applied from NTC) period has already expired and that Globe is still applying for the extension of this promo.

This is the second time that Globe stopped / altered this”promo” this year. I blogged about the first one here.

Their unlimited texting service was supposed to be a permanent service. (check the picture below) Well, that’s what they said.

They discontinued that. Which irked some consumers and TXTPower.org (Txtpower’s website is unavailable at the moment) which led a call for boycott and several hearings at the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC). The NTC suspended this service for a while to work out a better option for the consumers. Globe won due to technicality. And then consumers started using the service again. It was unliMItxt before, then it became UNLITXT.

Also, Globe has ceased giving free live TV via gprs. Or maybe their servers are just down? Plus, they have increased the internet/wap browsing rate from P 0.15 to P 0.75! There were also reports from consumers that Globe took back the rewards that it was giving away.

Hey Globe, what’s happening to you? Business move? To push consumers away? While attracting new corporate Partners?

Based from the above, all its unlitxt promos should end by January 14, 2008.. check it here. Hmmm.. so why are they stopping the all day unlitxt? Maybe because.. “ang lakas mo sa Globe”
