OpenFrame: Your iPhone landline

Looks like something from the 22nd century? Nah.. its already here.

Its a digital landline phone.. but its rack has iPhone like features.

It features a large, bright touch screen with a very iPhone-like interface of cuddly icons and touch keypads, as well as some standard phone handsets you can use to just make calls.

By touching buttons on the OpenFrame’s panel, you can sync it with the various contact lists and calendars in your life, view TV schedules, send IM or SMS, check the weather, surf the Web, watch streaming video, play music or do a range of other things. One OpenFrame model doubles as a bedside alarm clock, down to having a giant snooze button on the top. Sound quality over VOIP will also be a high priority – it has to sound like a landline for it to be successful
