Know where your Nokia phone was made

I found a post which teaches us on determining where your Nokia phone unit was made (you know they have a lot of factories right?).
It will also let you know if your nokkia unit is fake or not. I blogged about how to check if your N95 is a Nokia or NokLa.
Ok.. so… Press *#06# on your mobile and the-international mobile equipment identity number appears. Then look for the 7th and 8th numbers.
IF the Seventh & Eighth digits are:
- 08 or 80 this means your cell phone was manufactured in Germany which is fair quality
- 01 or 10 this means your cell phone was manufactured in Finland which is very Good
- 00 this means your cell phone was manufactured in original factory which is the best Mobile Quality
- 02 or 20 this means your cell phone was assembled in Emirates which is very Bad quality
- 13 this means your cell phone was assembled in Azerbaijan which is very Bad quality and also dangerous for your health

Based from this, The N95 that i’m using was made in Finland while my Nokia 6233 has OO which means its made in the original factory (and where is the original factory??? =p)
So, does anyone have a 02, 20, 0r 13 result???? YAIKS! =p

Hi my phone is 6133 and the IMEL (01) that’s mean made in finland like you say but down the IMEL says made in mexico and the box too so i think if it was made in finland they will not be shy to write made in finland thats mean all this number are wrong

My E71 is an “02″ and I’m quite suprised since it is their flagship phone and states it was “Made in Finland”, of which, is where all the top end Nokia phones I have owned happen to have been “made”, or at least that’s what the label states. Are you sure your information is correct?

yes!!! My damn Nokia N95’s 7th and 8th digits are 02 meaning it was manufactured in Emirates which is Bad quality…. WHAT THE AGRHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

based on my experiences and comparison what this guy wrote are true… if u want to know some of the difference u can see on phone signal 4 garmin(latest model), program processing (smooth or always hang), upload n download program,
