Know where your Nokia phone was made

I found a post which teaches us on determining where your Nokia phone unit was made (you know they have a lot of factories right?).
It will also let you know if your nokkia unit is fake or not. I blogged about how to check if your N95 is a Nokia or NokLa.
Ok.. so… Press *#06# on your mobile and the-international mobile equipment identity number appears. Then look for the 7th and 8th numbers.
IF the Seventh & Eighth digits are:
- 08 or 80 this means your cell phone was manufactured in Germany which is fair quality
- 01 or 10 this means your cell phone was manufactured in Finland which is very Good
- 00 this means your cell phone was manufactured in original factory which is the best Mobile Quality
- 02 or 20 this means your cell phone was assembled in Emirates which is very Bad quality
- 13 this means your cell phone was assembled in Azerbaijan which is very Bad quality and also dangerous for your health

Based from this, The N95 that i’m using was made in Finland while my Nokia 6233 has OO which means its made in the original factory (and where is the original factory??? =p)
So, does anyone have a 02, 20, 0r 13 result???? YAIKS! =p
I have a Nokia E71-2 (press *#0000#) with 02 as the 7ht/8th digit in its IMEI (press *#06#).
I totally disagree that having 02 is very bad quality. In fact I’ve been using my Nokia E71 for 7 months and its working perfect for me. I use its EDGE and WIFI functionality and see no problem. My guess is that 02 might just be the “-2″ models which are for US. Some Nokia phones made for US have “-2″ as appended/added to the model number/name. E.G. Nokia E71 is international or Europe version while Nokia E71-2 is for US. Why there’s a US version? Simply because US 3G frequencies aren’t the same as ones used in Europe and Asia. Nokia E75 and E63 also have “-2″ versions which are for US.
i am using nokia n95 8GB it says 02 but i have bought i directly from 3 company in uk. they cant sell bad quality phones. i disagree with this. my phone is working fine.
My nokia n95 (silver/sand) is”01″ . infact it is made in china(inside label says) has GPS /WIFI works fine . now then please tell me is this phone finland make or chinese make ???? thanks in advance. steve
I have a 6301 with an “02″ code as well. The quality seems perfect to me. How did you derive your judgments on quality based on location?

yes i have 5130 xm and it has 03 also,so this info isn’t true… don’t trust.
I don,t think this comment you say is true.How do you know this? some phones made in Germany,some made in china and some in other countries.what are the codes for those countries?
