Less expensive China Phones – now becomes cheaper

February 28, 2008

I saw some “China phones” a couple of days ago.

I was surprised that they are actually priced 40-60% lower than when they first sprung/hyped late last year.

You can now get a mobile phone with TV (local channels) cheaper than before.

Look at the 2nd phone on the pic above.. its branded on the phone as an “iPhone” but the tag says its a Q380. But don’t mind the phone rack where its placed (coz its says Nokia).

Meanwhile on the picture below, you’ll see an N98 sold for less than P8,000.

Last year, i was supposed to buy one.. a china phone with TV. Back then it was still between P15,000 to P18,000.

Nowadays, you can buy one for less than P8,000. And that’s the price at mobile stalls and shops. Online, you could buy it cheaper.

As long as you wont need a software re-install or upgrade.. then i guess these phones will work for you.

Imagine a phone that can handle two sims (2 networks) at once with a 3 megapixel camera, with a touchscreen, and a TV for less than P10,000…. Cool huh?

im using china phone (wi-fi mobile) I can connect to WI_FI but i cant browse internet. It says gprs not subscribed. I tried the ff. gprs settings:
    Account Name:SmartGPRS
    Homepage:http://wap.smart.com.ph
Data Account:(there’s a list for choices)so i select :CHINA MOBILE GPRS
    Connection Type: HTTP
    (use proxy – YES)
    Proxy Address: 010.102.061.046
    Port: 8080

With the above configuration, Upon browsing it SAYS, ‘Connection Failed’ (though WI-FI shows that it is connected)

    PLEASE HELP….

    Thanks.

GPRS is not a WiFi(Wireless Connection)

WiFi is where you access a router(that is connected to the internet) via wireless means
      You don’t need GPRS

GPRS is an outdated 2nd generation mobile internet in early 2000
      EDGE is newer

BUT WIFI is a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT TECHNOLOGY and means
Of internet ( its about accessing wirelessly a router(that is connected directly to the internet service provider)
