Nokia going green
Saw this sign in one of the Nokia stores here in Davao City.
Nokia take-back point.
Looking after the environment is a responsibility shared by everyone!
Join us in protecting the environment and saving natural resources by returning used mobile devices.
Nokia is also doing research in making mobile phone chargers environment friendly - using less electricity i guess.
This concept explores ways to reduce the energy that is wasted when chargers are unplugged from a mobile device but left plugged into a live mains socket

hhhmmm veddy interesting!
In the US, Nokia has a simillar program called WE RECYCLE.
Check it here: http://conversations.nokia.com/home/2008/05/dont-dump-it-re.html?cid=114584650#comments
Maybe they can add a drop off point for donating your unwanted but still usable cellphones. Now that is real recycling up to 200% minimum.
