Verzio Duplii firmware upgrade
Yesterday, i went to the Verzio Sales and Service Center at Bonifacio High Street in Taguig. I wished to have my duplii’s firmware upgraded.
I like the color and design of their shop. Cool and pleasing to the eyes. =p
Anyways, I got my firmware upgraded. I asked for the changes and the personnel/Mr. Technician said that the only upgrade it did was on the settings for it to easily be used as a modem.
Mr. Technician also noticed my somewhat scrateched “housing” on my duplii and told me that they have an available front cover. However, i was surprised shocked when i heard the price… P750.00. wahahaha! Waaaay to expensive for a front cover.
I can now happily use my Verzio Duplii as a modem connecting my laptop! Yey!
By the way, visit this branch and check out their discounted units. Like the Verzio Twinn which you can buy for less than P6,000 – a dual sim phone. But it doesn’t have 3G capabilities.

Can you buy the phone directly from the service center? Can accessories (extra battery/charger/etc) be bought separately?

It just shows that the duplii is not for them.
You see, i bought the duplii for three things:
1. its a dual sim phone
2. It has 3G – i can use video calls
3. I can use it as a modem to surf the internet – connect it to my laptop
I do not intend to use it as my primary phone nor would i want to replace my nokia phones with the duplii.
So clearly those who bought the duplii and found only negative stuff about it doesn’t know what phone they want and need.
Why are you thinking of buying the duplii?

Yes you can buy the phone and accessories directly from the service center. Take note that you can’t buy accessories from other mobile phone stores.

I’m thinking of buying a Duplii because it has good specs and UI. Myphone and (I think) Cherry mobile have ugly UI and hard springy keys. Does Duplii have soft keys like Nokia? Duplii’s price drop is also a factor. I think Duplii’s original price was about 14K to today’s price of 6K.
I need a good basic dual-sim phone to be my primary phone to manage my two sims together instead of having two phones.
Would you recommend Duplii as a primary phone?
