Downloading files on the net from your mobile phone

2009 February 23

scr000084Now, its easier to download a file on your mobile phone… with the use of the latest version of Opera Mini. Unlike before that when you download something from the internet, say a picture, you’ll have to close the browser – opera mini – and go to your phone’s browser.

Like the sample here.. i tried downloading the latest installer file for Google maps for mobile. If I use my Nokia N82’s browser, it will download and install automatically.

Unlike using the opera mini, it will give you a choice to save the file on your mobile phone or download the file and open the installer.

So there, if your looking for a  way to download installer files (like mobile applications) from the internet, then use Opera Mini. :D

    Hi,

I agree with you – Opera Mini FTW. Just too bad if you have a old phone. I hate the fact that most of the mobile web is restricted to new phones.

    Best regards

i think ucweb browser is better for download purpose,it’s also give the choice for save or install, but i like this software because it has download manager, i can copy-paste webpage content, and it has file manager too. Unfortunatelly opera don’t have some feature like that

I received a message that my mobile number has won 110,000 Pounds in the Nokia UK Promotion. the message asked me to send an e – mail to a certain address for claim. Now I’m sending the E- mail to that address but I want you to confirm whether there is a promotion that make people win cash or not.

    Thanks

    James
