I was trying to check the prices of airline tickets for a possible flight this April during the Holy Week. I was shocked to see this one..
A one way seat for a single person can cost you as much as P10, 614.00 ($221.00). This is the most expensive seat I’ve ever seen…

I think it’s because of the peak season? Sobrang mahal. I remembered when I went to Singapore last July and it just spent around 5K for the round way trip. I used Tiger Airlines nga lang.

it’s expensive because as you can see there are two flight numbers, so dalawang beses ka sasakay ng eroplano (connecting flights); that’s like paying for two tickets, one for Davao-Cebu then another one for Cebu-Manila. some people might just opt to take these flights kung wala ng upuan sa mga direct flights na Davao-Manila at kelangan nilang umalis papuntang Davao on that date, at wala na ring available na direct flights sa ibang airlines. kaya dapat, mag-book ng maaga!
I disagree with the previous comment. Connecting flights are supposed to be cheaper since it takes more time.
