Overall, using the N95 was fun. It didn’t give me a headache! =p
But surely, there will always be problems, errors… coz there’s no perfect gadget.
- First, Its sad that i can’t install some nice applications. Certificate error is the usual problem But its not really with the phone but its related to the use of the N95 so i’m writing it here.

Same with the GPS features in Nokia Maps. I hope Nokia will update this soon.

I’m sure all of you my dear readers have been stuck in traffic. The longest time I’ve been in a traffic jam was 2 hours. And I decided to walk several kilometers just to get to my destination.
But hear this, a recent test aims to find a way for drivers to swerve away from congested roads… with the use of the N95!

One hundred cars equipped with the GPS-enabled Nokia N95, and driven by students from the University of California, traveled a 10-mile stretch of highway near San Francisco to show how real-time traffic information can be collected from the GPS feed, while preserving the privacy of the devices’ owners.

Now, its time to talk about the N95’s battery life.
- Battery: Nokia Battery (BL-5F) 950mAH
- Talk time: up to 160 min (WCDMA), up to 240 min (GSM)*
- Stand-by time: up to 200 hours (WCDMA), up to 225 hours (GSM)*
That’s what the brochure says.. But in truth and in fact… hmmm.. lets see..
I use the N95 for a lot of things. And since I’m reviewing it, i should try to see all its features which… makes the battery drain faster.

Lets now talk about one of my favorite features in a mobile device.. Music and videos!
Pic from The Nokia Guide
The N95 has the following music features:
- Digital music player - supports MP3/AAC/AAC+/eAAC+/WMA/M4A with playlists and equalizer.
- Integrated handsfree speaker
- OMA DRM 2.0 & WMDRM support for music
- Stereo FM radio (87.5-108MHz /76-90MHz)
The N95 emits a loud sound. I like the fact that it has two speakers and that they are on both sides unlike the N77 and other Nseries devices where speakers are on the top or bottom of the device.
But is the N95 louder than the 6233?

Some more things you need to know about your N95.

Data Transfer
- WCDMA 2100 (HSDPA) with simultaneous voice and packet data (PS max speed UL/DL= 384/3.6MB, CS max speed 64kbps)
- Dual Transfer Mode (DTM) support for simultaneous voice and packet data connection in GSM/EDGE networks. Simple class A, multi slot class 11, max speed DL/UL: 177.6/118.4 kbits/s
- EGPRS class B, multi slot class 32, max speed DL/UL= 296 / 177.6 kbits/s
This means you can send an SMS message or call while browsing the Internet. Try using Morange or skype for mobile (have they rolled this out already?) for your VOIP need. =>

I’ve been wanting to buy a bluetooth stereo headset - the one you can use for music and for calls - but its too expensive.. for a small device that is. The one at Nokia would sell for more than P2,500.00. Others would be as low as P1,500.00.
So i’ve been wanting to find a cheap one. Now.. I found one!

It sells for less than P800.00. Chep isn’t it?
